I am writing a program in C#. Just want to know is it possible to search some text in a PDF? Anyone can give us a few pointers on how to search for text in PDF documents? I would be most grateful for some direction on how to go about searching the text in pdf files.

I have just started using XsPDF .net pdf to text sdk. So I'm learning as well. As far as i know, i need to extract text from PDF file firstly. But i have no idea on how to apply text search next. Do you provide the method for search function?

I created a PDF file with sample text and tried a way to get there. But I've had a problem with return value. I get only new line or carriage return in my c# project. Were you able to make any progress with this?

Yes, it's possible to get PDF text using our .NET PDF to Text SDK. But XsPDF does not provide the method for you to directly search some text in a PDF after extracting text from PDF file. If you want to do further processing like searching text, you are supposed to look into Regular Expression or use the methods of the string class in .net.
