I am looking for a method for creating PDF with some special output with fonts like barcode. And i can display some linear barcode fonts on a pdf, but fail to display Code 39 barcode fonts on it. Moreover, i want to display barcode font in my Windows Forms application. And i will get a window with my barcode font. Recently, i get errors with the Code 39 barcode written in a PDF, especially having trouble with the start and end characters.

Can someone give me a hint? Thanks for any help!

Hi, it seems that you want to create barcode symbology and insert the image to PDF. So, i think the libraries for barcode generation and PDF insertion would be one solution for your case. Firstly create and then insert. But this might not be suitable for barcode font generation on PDF on the fly.

Yeah, that’s the point. It is not reasonable to do it on the fly. To add barcode font "on the fly" without creating an image, you may need another solution which may allow you to draw the barcode code 3 of 9 on a .net bitmap and display it on PDF page dynamically.

Agree. You may use a barcode generation library like XsPDF PDF barcode library for .net. It enables you to generate Code 39 and display the barcode images at any position of PDF page. Moreover, special properties of barcode can be customized, like image size, rotation, color, start and end characters of symbology, etc.
