I struggled on creating a PDF document and keeps text formatted well. For a long text in it, text exceeds the area. So, i need to get the text nicely formatted with line breaks automatically for long sentences.

Has anyone had any experience with this?

I’m now gotten page breaks to work but still haven't been able to figure this out.Problem is the text runs out of the page boundaries. Anyone else have any luck with this?

Have you tried using "\n" or "\r\n" as the line break? In general, such operation will break the text if your input string contains both \n and \r\n. If still not work, i suggest you to use Environment.NewLine for line breaks. This worked for me.

What are you guys outputting the resulting string to? A control? The console? As i know, some controls don't support line breaks for text or have properties that you have to set to allow line breaks.

If you need to create a pdf document with long text in it. You should use a TextFormatter. XsPDF basic library provides the API for text formatting. It can help you get line breaks behave for long text. Exactly, it allows you to create a rectangle to render the long sentence in PDF. You only need to set the rectangle x, y and width, and the height will be measured by XTextFormatter object automatically. By setting the rectangle, you can make the text stay within page boundaries, with automatic line break effect.
