Sorry if I'm asking a really basic question, but I would like to create a pdf document from a byte[] stream. Is this possible?
This is my scenario. I tried just saving the byte array to a pdf file, and then tried loading it. But it cannot be loaded to my c# project properly. So, I tried it with Acrobat reader. It could open the PDF file. So, i guess that, something happens when the pdf goes through the byte array...not sure what is it.

It seems that the problem is coming through your database. And, maybe you should specify the correct encoding when converting the byte array to a memory stream.
If you are using XsPDF library to create PDF document. The answer is of course. It is definitely yes to create PDF document from byte stream. Its method PdfReader.Open can take a stream as its first parameter - it also work with a MemoryStream based on a byte[].

I am able to figure it out. So, I want to write this here in case anyone else meet the same problem in their programming. Below is what i did to solve the problem.
- Read in byte array from my database;
- Use Binary writer to write it to MemoryStreamA;
- Read from MemoryStreamA into MemoryStreamB;
- In Modify mode, create PDFDocument using MemoryStreamB.
That’s it. I have the data loaded and working, and can do with it what I need to.
