I want to add a hyperlink to PDF text. After the link is successfully added, a border is displayed around the anchor text. In general, the hyperlink has no border effect. So, i don't know why the border displays. I would like to ask for suggestions, how can i add text hyperlink on PDF document, just like adding a common hyperlink, underlined and with no border surrounded.

Yeah, hyperlinks don't have borders by default, but annotation may have. Please make sure you are not adding annotation to PDF, like a rectangle annotation. Then, why not set the style of text hyperlink using XTextFormatter. You may easily set it to look as you want it.

Cannot agree with you more, there is indeed no border around hyperlinks. And i met the same issue in my c# programming. After a while investigating, i found that the issue was caused by my PDF viewer. When opening the same PDF in another PDF document reader, no border showed.

Yes, there is a problem with PDF readers. Adobe Reader 4 through Adobe Reader 10.0.3 didn't display the boxes. Adobe fixed the bug with Adobe Reader 10.0.4. I upgraded from Adobe Reader 10.1.3 to Adobe Reader 10.1.4. And now, I see the boxes around hyperlinks.

Well, that is true but not a solution. Actually, from all I have gathered, by simply adding the borderwidth=0 and/or bordercolor=transparent would be great helpful.
